This month's Open Houses/Network Parties will be more focused on what each Network is doing in their area and on inviting friends and neighbors to connect.

Thank you for using The Loop! In an effort to make connecting and navigating easier for the new Loop user, last week The Loop team made (and are currently making) a three significant changes to The Loop. 

1. To make groups easier to search alphabetically in the directory, The Loop Team will be slightly adjusting the way groups are named. For the most part, this change has been put into place. The new naming convention is as follows: CP/L=Cedar Park/Leander, AUS CEN=Central Austin, AUS NW=Northwest Austin, RR/PF/GT=Round Rock/Pflugerville/Georgetown, AUS SO=South Austin.
2. Also, groups that are not open for new members should email TheLoop@GatewayChurch.com to request that they be removed from the group directory effectively immediately. If The Loop Team does not hear from you, and you are a formal leader, your group will be listed in the directory where everyone can see it and request to join it.
3. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Have you ever gotten that nasty "You need a backstage pass" comment when following a Loop link from Facebook? With very few exceptions, the privacy setting for you group has officially been changed to "ANYONE CAN VIEW," meaning anyone on the web can now view your group page. We are making this change this for two major reasons: one, this change will make it easier for any user to follow Loop links posted on other Loop, in emails or on social media pages; and two, it will also allow potential new group members to get a feel for what the group is like by viewing some of the group's interaction before joining. Don't want everyone to see everything your group posts? Don't worry! You can still make certain content like prayer or needs requests private, viewable only to group members, when you create a new post by using that post's individual privacy settings to "group members only." If you have questions or concerns about your group's privacy settings, or if you need help posting new, private content, please email TheLoop@GatewayChurch.com for assistance. We are here to support you.
